STEM: Inspiring Dreams, Building Futures – Phase 2 in Thailand
STEM Education in Thailand: Students Explore Clean Water Solutions in Mae Chaem
Hope4you Thailand by Markets4you, in collaboration with the Raks Thai Foundation, supported a STEM Education field learning activity under the STEM: Inspiring Dreams, Building Futures Phase 2 project in Mae Chaem, Chiang Mai. The activity took place across four highland schools, including Ban Sam Sop School, Ban Na Klang School, Ban Na Klang School (Ban Huai Phak Kut Branch), and Ban Mae Na Chon School.
Students joined hands-on STEM learning activities focused on school water sources, water usage, access to safe drinking water, and practical ways to improve water systems and drinking water service points. By connecting science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with real community needs, the activity helped students understand how STEM can support clean water access in rural Thailand.
This field learning activity also encouraged critical thinking, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills among students. Through the theme of clean water and sustainability, students gained practical knowledge that can help them contribute to healthier schools, stronger communities, and a more sustainable future.
